Candidate Responsibilities include but not limited to:

The incumbent operates motor vehicles to transport passengers, documents, and parcels as required. The incumbent works different shifts on a rotating basis to provide adequate availability of drivers to meet the mission’s needs. The incumbent might be required to work some holidays and weekends on a rotational basis. The incumbent may also be required to work night shifts.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Successful completion of secondary school is required.
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience as a chauffeur or driver is required.
• Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required.
• Level 2 (Limited knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing of one additional South African official language is required.
• Valid South African license code 10 (C1) with Professional Drivers Permit (PDP) is required.
• Ability to maintain precise written transportation records is required.
• Ability to drive long distance in rural areas throughout South Africa is required.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver medical clearance is required.
